Double Glazed Aluminum Windows & Doors

What is Double glazed

Double glazed windows are windows that are made up of two panes of glass within the same window frame.  Between the two panes of glass is a gap that can be anywhere from 6mm to 12mm wide.  The gap is filled with standard air or it can be filled with a special gas such as argon.  Double glazing can be fitted to many different types of windows including sliding, open able, curtain wall, double hung, fixed, and more

Advantages

The advantages of double

  • Double glazedEuropeans have been enjoying the benefits of double glazing – now it is Pakistan’s turn. Double glazing means you will enjoy a more comfortable home environment – due to the thermal effects. Your home will be cooler in summer, and warmer in winter
  • Energy cost savings. The airtight construction of double glazed windows creates thermal insulation. This reduces the flow of incoming and outgoing heat. Less energy is used to heat up or cool down the space, resulting in lower energy bills.
  • Heat Proofing.Moisture on a warm surface forms droplets of water, which freeze into frost. This can make the room feel colder, which forces the people inside to adjust the heat. The air between the two panes of glass, plus the airtight seal, prevents condensation from building up by blocking moisture in cold weather.

Warmer in winter: Double glazing is the ideal form of insulation, with up to 50-70% of home heat lost through single-glazed windows. Double glazing also helps capture and store a higher percentage of the natural heat from the winter sun.
Cooler in summer: Double glazing insulates your home against extremes of temperature, trapping some of the summer sun’s rays and minimizing the heat which burns through your windows on hot, sunny days.

Sound proofing. Double glazed windows improve sound insulation by creating a  barrier between the home and the environment outside. : Double gazing reduces noise for a calmer, quieter home. High performance double glazing can reduce outside noise by up to 60%, making it a great investment if you live by a busy road or beneath a flight path.
Safety. Double glazed windows are tougher to break than single pane windows, so they increase the security of the home. Because they’re sealed tighter than other windows, it is also tougher to force them open from the outside. It’s more difficult  to break  double glazed windows, particularly if you include laminated or toughened glass.

Manufacturing Process

Step-1

In order to acquire the exact sizes which is very necessary in structural glazing use for the first time in Pakistan the most modern cutting line from the World best European cutting line manufacturer LISEC.
This cutting line selects the required glass sheet and cut and breaks the glass with the tolerance of 0.03mm.

Step-2

The aluminium spacers are cut to size filled with Desiccants and joint at the edges in the form of a frame.

Step-3

Primary sealant butyl (Polyisobutalyne) is applied to the edges and made ready to be incorporated in the assembly.

Step-4

Glasses are washed and dried on the computerised manufacturing line and conveyed to the assembly for last inspection and assembled with the aluminium spacer

in which primary sealant has already been applied.

Step-5

The assembly is then pressed and conveyed to the applicator table for applying the secondary sealant which is silicone.

Step-6

Gas is filled in each unit in order to ensure and enhance the insulation capacity of the energy saver glass. This feature is introduced  for the first time in Pakistan and it is not possible to fill the glass with gas in ordinary manual making of insulating glass.

Step7

Secondary sealant which is silicon is applied to the outer surface of the frames through Lisec Silicon Pump which ensures the thermal insulation, sound proofing, And increases the life of the Energy Saver glass.
